Sledding Adventures

Every year my family makes at least one full Saturday sledding trip. In the past we have gone up Logan Canyon to the sinks, infact it was one of the first dates I took Ben on years ago. However, a few years ago we found a new favorite place on the backside of Snow Basin. It's lots closer to home which means lots more time sledding, and less time driving to and from! The hills range from gradual to steep and the best part is trying to avoid the creek/river at the bottom. Last year was a little rough with baby Carson, but this year all of the boys were old enough to have a little fun. Brayden held to his promise of not going on the tobbogan ever. Baylor, amazingly, was brave enough to go down once with Ben, and then joined Brayden on the smaller sleds making their own hills. Carson began by being pulled around by Grandma, but then Mommy decided to try going down with him on the tobbogan. After that first run it was all we could do to keep off a sled. If we weren't taking him down the hill he would try to slide down on his bummy - though it wasn't quite as thrilling. Baylor also enjoyed hangin' out with Aunt Stef and Uncle Chris. Both he and Brayden loved trying to get Chris and Stef to try out their hills instead of the big one. And, as always we followed up the sledding with delicious chili, cornbread (thanks Chris), and hot chocolate. We all slept really well that night, but we can't wait for next year!

Thanks Grandma for the ride!
